I do actually kind of love living in the country.
After spending Saturday driving through the Pennsylvania countryside and wandering the streets of Baltimore on Sunday, this feeling was confirmed. Don’t get me wrong– I love a good trip to the city. But I think thats why I love it: it’s a trip. I get to experience all the fun things about a big city, and then retreat back to my grass and trees at the end of the day. I love being able to walk ten feet out my door, coffee in hand, to let the dog out, and practically be standing in a forest. I love that I have state parks and rivers and trails within a 15 minute drive. I love looking out my bedroom window and seeing fall leaves instead of concrete and metal. Fresh air is a steady staple of my diet here, and I couldn’t be more thankful.
